Soft Birthday Card

January is almost over! Crazy, but I'm good with that! I could use some more sunshine. So these colors are perfect for this point in the season! Also, I need several birthday cards in the next few weeks, so since I had a little time, I got this done!

I used Mojo Monday sketch #123 and picked square since I don't have our awesome circle cutter... *grin

Supplies: Stamps: Upsy Daisy Ink: So Saffron, Mellow Moss Paper: Mellow Moss, So Saffron, Very Vanilla Accessories: Vanilla grosgrain ribbon, Button Latte, Jumbo Brads

After it was done, I thought I should edge the vanilla piece with Moss ink. But that cute artichoke button covers both pieces and I don't want the card stock to tear! Oh well, its still a cute card!

Inspired page!

This page comes from a word exchange! Those who joined sent out a word (printed, diecut, stamped, etc) and then recieved a word to scrap. So, I got this cute "happy", found a sweet picture of my kids, and created this:
The vellum thought came with the word, too. I used the polaroid idea from Dawn, suggested HERE. I just need a coordinating pen to journal with, on that white section. *grin* Supplies: Stamps: none Ink: none Paper: Basic Gray, Cranberry Crisp (retired), Whisper White Accessories: Cranberry stitched ribbon (retired), Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware (retired), Chipboard word (unknown), Vellum thought (unknown)

Baby pages

I got a lot of crafty time last night! My desk is literally covered with piles of events I have printed photos for that need scrapped! I am hoping for more time later today, but we'll see. These pictures were printed this summer from our last roll of FILM. I have already done this section of her book, but, our digital camera had no photos of my face in pictures holding her. (its my hands, but you'd have to look carefully to know...) So, I thought it was important she had pictures of us together. I used DP from three different paper packages for this page! I don't usually have a lot of luck mixing packages, but I thought all three patterns were perfectly sweet for a baby. And it worked! Supplies:
Stamps: none
Ink: none
Paper: Bella Birds (retired), Parisian Summer (retired), Just Delightful SS Kit (retired)
Accessories: Button Latte, Mini Glue Dots, SS Brads

Two Old Pages.

When we first got our digital camera, I was excited that I could crop all of my photos before printing. What a great way to save ink- delete what you're going to cut off the photo anyway! Well, that worked fine as long as I was printing photos at home......but ink costs a LOT of money. And stores print for pretty cheap. Except.....they also stretch your photo to fit the 4x6 sheet of photo paper....which can be really bad depending on how you cropped. HMM. Since I didn't know to keep a copy of the original before cropping, this makes scrapping that period of time difficult. Until I realized- I now have a digital scrapbooking system that will accept any size/shape photo and I can just print the PAGE instead of the photo! WHOO! So! Here is one great way for me to catch up on scrapping- go digital for the whole pre-cropped section of photos!!! Here's the first two:

"pre-made" thank yous...

One of the things I am doing with my kids this year is for them to send many more thank you notes. I made up a selection of 'pre-made' notes for them to write something short on, but still get thank-you's sent on time, and still be able to show appreciation for people, and get to stick something in the mailbox just from them! :) Can't beat that!

Simply Cute!

When I started stamping cards, there were no layers on them. Other people can make single layer cards that are darling. Mine tend to look like ...I just began. But the other night I tried again for some simple designs. I used a new-to-me set, and the punch that coordinates, even tho I didn't use them together. I think they turned out pretty cute!

Supplies: Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes Ink: Pixie Pink paper: Whisper White, Pixie Pink card stocks Accessories: Heart to Heart punch, Flirty ribbon (retired) Supplies: Stamps: Love You Much Ink: Basic Black, Real Red Paper: Whisper White card stock Accessories: Watercolor Pencils, misc. ribbon

Two of Three

Sooo the other day I sorted thru the stack of scrapped pages that need an album to go in. Annnd I realized: I am cumulatively ten years behind in my scrapping. Guess what you'll be seeing a LOT of? LOL! So, here are pages two and three, and page one can be seen HERE. (in a post from last January, funny enough...) These photos were taken October 2008, so its about time I get them done!

Thinking of you...

My mom was mending my daughters dress ups (Not being a seamstress at all, I could NOT get my head around the concept of a gathered stitch!) so I sat down with my new stamp set and made her a couple of cards!

First up uses the sketch from Mojo Monday #118.

Next is a card using the sketch Beate posted for her weekend #110 sketch, that Lori actually designed.

Fun, huh?

Well, school starts up again next week and I will be getting back to a normal routine of some kind! Also, some fun new things coming from Stampin' Up! will be posted tomorrow! Check back!
