World Card Making Day #1

Happy Saturday to you! I don't often post on Saturdays, but today is World Card Making Day! I am already committed to a lot today, but I didn't want you to miss out on some inspiration! I have two cards for you at the time of writing this, but I might get more made... we'll see....
I've scheduled them a few hours apart, to keep you thinking and crafting.

This first card looks more complicated than it was. I was immediately inspired by the sketch on the Try Stamping on Tuesday blog to use the sun rays. I think this set is so perfect to send to someone going thru a hard time, and I would imagine we all know someone like that. And I know exactly who I'm sending this one to. Anyway, to use the sketch, I used some old washi tape to tack down scrap paper to "mask off" the area I wanted cloudy, and then the area I wanted sunny. Super easy, very impactful!
Stamps: After The Storm
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate, Gray Granite, Basic Gray
Paper: Crushed Curry & Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Dimensionals

Come back later and see what else I've got for you!

  1. What a brilliant take on our sketch - I love it! A great card to lift someone up, for sure! Thanks so much for playing at TSOT!

  2. Tanya, what a clever interpretation of our TSOT sketch! Love how you used the sun rays for the triangular element! I'm sure whoever receives it will feel a bit better. Thank you for sharing your talents and card with us at TSOT!!! -Donna

Tell me what you think!
