Pines at Sunset

I really need more thank you cards, so today I combined the colors from The Paper Players with the sketch from TGIF Challenges. It is also a perfect match for the Just Add Ink challenge since I used trees and ink blending!

I ended up doing the rectangles too tall to fit a standard card, so I made a slimline card- maybe for the first time? I really don't like non-standard size cards because I don't know how to cut the cardstock without wasting too much... But I'd already stamped and blended this bit so thaaat's what I had to do! haha!
Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Evergreens, Layers of Beauty
Ink: Early Espresso, Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Copper Clay
Paper: Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso & Basic White card stocks
Accessories: Earth Tones Shimmer Gems

Cactus Scrapbooking

Happy Thursday! Still hot here.... soooo wishing for autumn to arrive on the tenth of October....! But we have Halloween decorations up now, so that much can feel like autumn.

Anyway, I have a scrapbook layout for you today. These photos are several years old, so it was way past time to get them scrapped. This is the last time we went to my grandparents house, it was the trip for my grandmother's funeral. And then her kids went thru all the things and that was that. My grandparents lived in Arizona so these retired cactus stamps were absolutely required. I just fussy cut them all out and layered them on the page.

Supplies:
Stamps: Flowering Desert (retired), Desert Details (retired)
Ink: Pebbled Path, Mossy Meadow, Garden Green, Peach Pie, Flirty Flamingo, Parakeet Party(retired), Cucumber Crush(retired), Soft Succulent (retired)
Paper: Parakeet Party (retired), Peach Pie card stocks
Journaling Font: Garamond

I "need" to print hundreds of photos, because we just keep living life and doing things, but I also still have hundreds of photos printed from years ago for my older kids... And since I was in a scrapping mood, that's what I worked on. I did a few pages for my son and then discovered all of his books are full and his shelf is stuffed. Annnnd then after just setting the pages in one of his books to keep them flat and safe....his shelf collapsed. super. haha..... Guess what I'm asking for for Christmas?
If you're curious, my girls share the bottom shelf, altho my youngest's current album is the sideways one at the top of this photo....
and my son has the collapsed shelf all to himself.

Yeay scrapbooking!!

Autumn Leaves!

I have not yet made it up to the mountains, where the leaves are usually much more colorful, and I am totally disappointed about that. I'm afraid I have missed our teeny window of color... There are trees around me, but for some reason the trees in our park strip tend to stay green and fall off in a heavy snow storm... weird.
But today my card is full of colorful leaves! This is for the latest SUO Challenge (rats! I'm too late for this one too!) and the colors are all pulled from their inspiration photo. Like I actually held my ink pads up to the photo to pick the right shades. HA.
Supplies:
Stamps: Spotlight on Nature
Ink: Petunia Pop, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Lost Lagoon, Crushed Curry
Paper: Cajun Craze, Basic White
Accessories: Linen Thread, Dimensionals

Pastel Autumn!

Happy Monday once again! So many things going on in my world right now! (too much actually, white flag is up!) But I am in need of some thank yous so here I go!

Today's card combined the Color Throwdown with the latest Freshly Made Sketch, and the theme for Inspire.Create.Challenges to do something for Autumn! Altho I just missed the deadline for FMS... I think it's fun and something a little different.
Supplies:
Stamps: Simply Said
Ink: Lemon Lolly, Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Basic White, Lemon Lolly, Peach Pie
Accessories: 2024-26 In Color Dots, Encircled in Nature dies, Glue Dots, Blending Brush, Stampin' Sponge (retired), big shot (retired)
