Seeing Green!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

I am not a big celebrator of this holiday, (tho my husband's family likes to eat Irish food today) but I thought something to show on the blog and something fun in my son's lunch box was definitely appropriate!

The card sketch comes from Jen's SSFYTT, and most of these are colors I rarely use. That fun stripey DP is very old, but I still like it. You'll actually see more of that same pkg later this week, LOL! Its about time I'm using it! Supplies: Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Green Galore, Glorious Green Paper: Green Galore & Whisper White card stocks, Sweet DP (retired) Accessories: Heart to Heart punch

Hope you're all enjoying your day and seeing green!

A storage solution

I needed a way to organize my cards. I need to know if I have a birthday card for this person, or if I need to make a new one... Since I do have so many cards, its a little frustrating and certaintly time-consuming to find out! So, I did this a few weeks ago at my mom's, and then took pictures of the process doing it for myself.

First I punched several tabs with the Round Tab Punch, and then cut them in half. (I used retired Kiwi Kiss cardstock, if anyone wonders)

Then I used the heavier card in the back of all the DP packages and cut it into rectangles that fit my box. I stapled a tab on each of those rectangles. Then I wrote my most frequently used 'topics' (birthday, wedding/love, baby, thank you, etc) on the tabs and sorted them accordingly! It turns out I need ONE more for that stack going vertically. those are all "blank".

But now I know exactly what kinds of cards I have, ready to go! Time to get mailin'.....

Paper Flowers!

I had a workshop this weekend and showed three different ideas for paper flowers. The first two came straight out of the demo magazine! If you want a FREE magazine sent to your house every month, full of ideas, during Sale-A-Bration is the best time to start your own Stampin' Up! business!

So, I demo'd these first two cards...

On the Celery one, I printed off some of the Define Your Life images off the My Digital Studio and then punched them out with the scallop circle punch! The bottom layer lays flat, and the top layer was snipped around the edges and folded upward a little. Then, you can have a button in so many more colors (black!) just by printing it off the MDS!

The second card was done by using three sizes of circle punches, snipping around the sides of all three, layering, and adding an actual button in the middle. I free-handed the leaves for this one. And the colors come from needing a shot of yellow and pink in the middle of this blaaah winter air we've been having! I thought it was nice!

And this was the Make & Take. The idea came (to me) from Becky's blog. And now you know three new ways to make a paper flower!

Supplies above: Card 1: Stamps: Delight in Life (MDS), Teeny Tiny Wishes (I did use the retired Weathered background stamp on this to add some texture) Ink: Basic Black, Certainly Celery Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes Paper: Certainly Celery card stock, white printer paper Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch

Card 2: Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes Ink: Rose Red, Certainly Celery marker Paper: Sahara Sand, So Saffron, Certainly Celery card stocks Accessories: Fresh Favorite Buttons, Linen Thread, 1 3/8 inch circle punch, 1 1/4 inch circle punch, 1 inch circle punch, Paper Snips, Mini Glue Dots
